Why is the rendering performance in the simulator so slow?

On a real device the performance is significant better than in the simulator. The reason for that is the poor OpenGL performance of the simulator.

What are the average files sizes for garments and avatars?

In 2D, you can expect around ~2mb for the assets. In 3D, avatars and garments have around 5 - 10mb.

My app freeze for a bit when I load assets. What can I do?

We always recommend to do IO operations on a separate thread to achieve a smooth user experience.
