The Compute Server serves as a complement to the Web SDK.
Since the Web SDK uses Babylon as its 3D engine, some of the functionality you can find in the other Pictofit Mobile SDKs, are not available naturally. This is where the Compute Server comes into play.
You can make requests to the API of the compute server via the interface of the Web SDK and therefore still use selected features of the Pictofit engine. Features that require a compute server instance to be running are annotated with a short notice.
Highlights of this version:
- The content behind provided urls as part of a request are now cached locally on the compute server. This will help reduce the bandwidth usage and overall speed of certain requests. Have a look at the Getting Started Chapter for more information.
