Getting Started

Our SDK allows you to integrate features like virtual try-on (mix & match), capturing of avatars, AR & 3D views, etc. into your application. Most computations are executed directly on the users device, while computationally expensive tasks (e.g. generation of 3D avatars) are performed in the cloud through the Pictofit Content Service. If you would like to also test our Content Service, please contact our sales team to get your free trail account. The SDK comes with a set of sample resources for you to explore. So even without a Pictofit Content Service account you can play around & experiment. If you experiencing technical problems, please contact our support team.

Prerequisites

Apps using PictofitCore require:

  • Android 7.0 (API level 24) or later
  • Android Studio 4.0.x

Installation

The PictofitCore library for Android comes as an Android Archive (.aar) file. To add the library to you application follow these steps: Add a library as a dependency.

After you successfully imported the library, add PictofitCore.init() preferably to your Application class to initialize the native core, as seen below:

    override fun onCreate() {
        super.onCreate()
        PictofitCore.init(this)
    }
}
